The border between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Turkey has been a constant source of conflict and tension. In recent years, the situation has escalated significantly as various armed groups have taken control of different regions along the border.
Latest Developments
In early October, Turkey launched a cross-border military operation against Kurdish-led forces in Syria. This followed the withdrawal of US troops from the region, which had been providing support to the Kurdish fighters.
