Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously declared the goal of winning more than 400 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, coining the slogan "Ab Ki Baar 400 Paar" (This time surpassing 400). However, this ambitious plan seems to have hit a snag as talk of surpassing 400 seats has dissipated. Concerns have arisen within the BJP's potential Dalit, tribal, and OBC vote bases, raising questions about the party's ability to achieve its target. Karnataka BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde inadvertently revealed the BJP's need for 400 seats to alter the constitution, further fueling doubts.

The BJP had previously planned an electoral strategy based on the slogan "Ab Ki Baar 400 Paar," but this has now been put on hold. The party is now facing an uphill battle to win the support of its traditional voter base, which has expressed concerns about the party's commitment to their welfare.
