German Tourist Loses Almost All Teeth In Majorca Balcony Fall

German tourist loses almost all teeth in Majorca balcony fall

Holidaymaker fractures jaw in four places and loses teeth after plunging from second-floor balcony in Magaluf

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital after the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning

A German tourist lost almost all of his teeth after falling from a second-floor balcony in the Majorcan party resort of Magaluf.

The 27-year-old, who has not been named, fractured his jaw in four places and lost most of his teeth in the fall.

He was rushed to Son Espases University Hospital in Palma, where he underwent surgery.

A spokesman for the hospital said the man's condition was "serious but stable".

The incident happened at around 4am on Saturday morning.

The man is believed to have been drinking with friends on the balcony before he fell.

The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident.

A spokesman for the force said it was too early to say whether the man had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fall.

Balcony falls are a common occurrence in Magaluf, which is known for its lively nightlife.

In 2018, a British tourist died after falling from a balcony in the resort.

The Foreign Office advises tourists to be careful when drinking alcohol on balconies, and to avoid standing on chairs or tables.
