Early Life and Career

Mookie Betts was born on October 7, 1992, in Smyrna, Tennessee. He attended John Overton High School, where he excelled in baseball and football. After graduating high school, Betts was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB Draft.
